I Wish
How I wish I could fly,
Glide away from despair,
Just like a butterfly,
Flutter carelessly in the air.
I want to be brave,
Just like a lion,
But I'm trapped in a cave,
Though I am trying.
Or I can relax like a sloth,
Rest all day, completely still,
But my mind races, back and forth,
Overthinking takes skill.
What if I was a dog,
Energetic, but sweet,
Instead I'm bogged.
It's just not one of my feats.
How do I feel free?
Escape my troubles,
Just like a bat, can't see
the solutions to my struggles.
