This poem is dear to my heart. It's a repost from last year.

You left me to struggle on my own.I had to dig deep to make a better life for me and our kids. Sometimes l feel like l can't make it,But the four little eyes staring back at me, makes me realize that I'm not living for one, I'm living for three. So l went back to school to get a better career. And l put them in daycare. Every day is a constant struggle.Their love gives me deter- mination to rise above the struggle. Yes l will rise above negativity. I will rise above a broken heart. I will rise above my own in- securities.Because I came to one conclusion,At the end of the day, I have no choice but to rise,cause I'm not living for one I'm living for three. 11-02-16 Alexis Y.

How I admire the strength of single parents, especially ones like you who put their children first and pursue more education so they can provide well. It's not easy, Alexis, but you and your children are worth it. Bravo for your powerful write!

Here's is hoping that the strength that you express and the love for those who count on you the most inspires others who might read this. Nothing in life is ever easy and it only becomes more difficult in situations like this. I applaud you Alexis, this is love that you are showing, the love you have for your children. Your determination in the face of this difficulty touches me deeply, not to mention the strength it took to share this.

Wonderful poem, Alexis. Expresses the courage and determination you have. My heart roots for you to make it to that blessed day of rest. You will enjoy the fruits of your labor when you see those kids become adults, able to make it on their own. And living a good life thanks to your guidance and love. Such a strong inspirational poem.
