I Went To Heaven

My death and afterlife; deep concepts that
stirred up my mind more often as I age.
I formed a vision that my faith implied-
my journey far beyond death's earthly stage.
Now I have passed. The darkness is so still-
then, all at once, becomes the brightest glow.
And drawn to enter this dimension now,
I'm swept within, like lightning in the flow.
At once, I meet my loved ones gone before-
embracing them with love and spirit tears;
know they have waited long to greet me and
reunion is so blessed with soulful cheers.
With bodies gone and just our mindless souls,
we see each other without earthly eyes;
led by the aura of the deepest love,
I feel that sense of bonding with my ties.
What thoughts I had while living on my earth
about what Heaven was in my own mind,
does not compare to miracles seen now;
my life in Heaven cannot be defined.
Such unimagined beauty in this realm,
a sense of love and peace pervades my soul;
such feeling, so sublime and mystical;
my journey back to God has made me whole.
Another realm, for sure my Heaven is.
I feel God's knowledge in my spirit shell;
my earthly questions are all answered now.
Within this everlasting love- I dwell.
