I Wanted To Tell You

I wanted to tell you, before I forgot: I remember when you were always there. I remember how you told me you cared. Then I realized you were never there. I remember the promise you made to me. You told me I would always get my chance. I remember our very first dance, And I wanted to cry when it ended. I never intended to hurt you the way you hurt me. You said you did not mean it when we knew we were meant to be. I remember we shared that one moment. When nothing else mattered at all. You and I kissed, but then you let me fall. We have grown farther apart since that single moment. And sometimes I wish we could just go back. You said that I would not get my chance ever. You didn’t keep your promise that you made. When I spilt my heart to you every single day, You just walked away with nothing to say. I cried my eyes out every day since, You know someday soon that I’m the one you miss. The first time you touched your lips with mine, You thought that everything would be just fine. You got scared when you thought of the future. You got scared when you thought of the past. You thought after this that our friendship wouldn’t last. One day you will regret everything that you did, You will cry and see all the wrongs that you did. You said you will always remember the memories that we shared. You have to ask yourself though, did you even care, Your voice, your hugs, your kiss, your touch, I wanted to say that everything you did meant so much. We still have our memories that fade more and more. It will always hurt me so much, so I will think of them no more. It was a while ago… But I remember when you were so different And all the things we did together. I wanted to tell you that.
