I Want That
the horror of this silence
these quite sounds that kill
empty spaces
Hated
echo's loud and still
Shouted eyes, those daggers
dripping loathsome drops
lips so tight,
it's hurting,
pain that never stops.
can't we build a fire,
a warm and burning brace?
sit a little love down,
brighten up this place.
is there no forgiving?
grudges held with might.
strength in numbered sins
now
every little slight
can there be a rewind?
a wrapping back of time
moments when we had love,
prickly though sublime.
I want that
