I Walk Alone Through Sunken Dreams
I walk alone through sunken dreams,
Through mists of swirling lace,
And as the veil parts from my eyes
I begin to see your face.
You come to me as if a ghost
Appearing in my sight,
Through fog so dark I could not see
Before your dazzling light,
Though lost alone, alone was I
Before you spoke one word,
To guide me safe, a voice so soft,
The softest ever heard
Then through my dreams you came to save
This long lost wretched I,
You brought me safe back to my life
And guard me where I lie.
You are my life, my love, my muse,
Without you I am naught,
And ne'er will I be e'er to pay
My debt to you, my love.
