I Still Do
“Do you still love me?”
But of course I do.
I always have, and always will.
I can never get closure as I fell in love with a façade.
A character created by the smoke of your demons.
But alas, I’m still in love with you.
Though my heart is only mere dust, those particles have sucked up the love I once held strongly for you.
It’s now place in a jar, hung on a shelf in my ribcage.
It may no longer beat in tune with you anymore, it may not beat ever but it’s still there.
I keep all our memories, destroyed promises and treasures locked away on the shelf as well.
A bitter sweat remembrance, of the beautifully painted chaos that was our life.
You’ll always be in me, always be locked away.
So darling, don’t forget;
I still love you
