I Say An Idle While
Here I sit
Pen In hand
I wish to write superbly.
If only I were deserving
With insurmountable perfectionism.
And receiving copious AWARDS.
Walking away with a glow in
My cheeks.
How else do I compete.
Meek ME.
Awards seek me.
The tone of the writing should
Land softly at the beginning.
That can be perfected.
It can be quite disturbing.
If I were the pen of a
Wizard how would I plan such
A feat.
If I can. I wish to write
UNNERVING.
I say I wish to write an idle
While.
Filling my head with
Tranquil thoughts and
Favored flavored verbs
And contrary to popular
Belief.
I do take and preserve. I would
Seize the opportunity to follow
The lead of Emily Dickinson and
Frost. Who ever is BOSS.
More than words can say, I get
Criss crossed. I say every TIME
I fumble is a learning experience.
I say I'm better for it.
Such as day LEARNING from night.
There is no better teacher than
Your self.
Or let the public decide. And I will
Take an idle while to HONE my skills
Adequately making time for
Reflection.
