I Regret

I regret there is no guidebook for love ..I regret manual to parenthood I too regret mistakes and anxious concerns as you grew,I too, slow to learn I regret there is no guidebook for love ..I regret manual to parenthood I too regret not speaking, aloud my love ..I regret wanting, too much for you I too regret seeking ,what you could not see ...I regret trying ,to make you too much like me .. I regret there is no guidebook for love

I regret speaks to lost chances for good intentions ... but often enough it is not the chance that is important, it is the intention. It shows that our hearts are in the right place. In the end love makes everything right. Bravo

This touching poem speaks out to every parent, everywhere, who truly loves their child. It is so honest, we cannot be perfect parents, no matter how strong our love, and I suppose we will always have some regrets and make mistakes. Hopefully, doing the best we can, with what we knew at the time, will be enough. And hopefully, it's never too late to express that love. Such a heartfelt poem, Brian...this touches me. ~ Love, Carrie

This is terrific and sad...I know the feeling of never fully living up to the potential of what others prescribed for my life...the beauty of this piece is that the voice can recognize the shortcoming and express regret before time fail to exist...

Aww, this is truly from a man who loves deeply and appreciates this love more than ever. Some regrets I believe we can all relate to. A beautiful, heartfelt write, and I sure wish they had guidebooks for love and parenting that were actually foolproof. Love, Shar
