I Read Your Words
Before I close my eyes in sleep
Before sweet dreams my soul do reap
I read your words, I read your words
And I find treasures hidden deep
Before I bid farewell to thought
Before my reason comes to naught
I read your words, I read your words
And I relish their wonders wrought
Before I drift on clouds of white
And I traipse through the starry night
I read your words, I read your words
And the universe fills with light
What of MY words, these very words?
Do they lull you to dreamland too?
