I Prefer Lilies

Heavy doses of carnal passion Heart incinerating bursts of deceptive attraction Blinding you with beauty, ruining you with scorn Lacerating your soul with every unforgiving thorn Accompanied by "I love yous" by romantic, harlequin valentines It's your flesh upon which this lustful demon dines And you may be stricken breathless by bright red But that color decays and black means you're dead It'll kidnap your heart Rip your love apart So beware Do not follow the glorious path of pedals, for you don't know where it goes Never trust the magnificence of a rose.
