I Need You
Listen to poem:
Saving my life wasn’t good enough.
You had to keep coming back and
saving me more than I ever thought
I would need. And for that, I am
grateful.
See, I need Your grace.
I need Your reassurance I will be able
to keep walking the path you have
chosen for me to pursue. All the days
of suffering with all the nights of
pure hell…wondering if I’ll make it
out alive.
See, I need Your mercy.
Without the willingness to stay strong
I am nothing. But with You, I am
everything. Please keep me safe from
the inferno pit that tries to steal my
joy.
See, I need Your healing.
Far out into the nothingness I fell and
broke my leg. A broken leg hurts but
when it heals it’s stronger than ever.
Forbidden fruit I have tasted and no
matter how I digest, I will always crave
Your faithful remedy.
