I Must Be a Stone

He was with me then As I searched for a new place In which I could live But he does not speak He is my companion He wants to help me I don’t believe yet That he won’t come home ever. But I just pretend When I am with folk They tell me I am stronger. Oh,comparisons! Yeah,I need no-one No words of comfort or love I must be a stone. My stoicism A wonder to the heavens My dead face fakes peace.

While reading these verses, the song "I am a rock" by Simon and Garfunkel came to my mind. Collectively, these verses convey great descriptiveness.

I sm very familiar with the album where I am a rock is.I find the condensed nature of this style appeals to me very much.I have written a lot of sonnets but it is good to try out other forms.I shall be able to read your poetry tomorrow. My laptop has gone wrong and I've not been able to do much today as I was on the phone so long to a technician.I find it interesting that when I write things come to my mind quite different from what I expect.I wonder if you find that? It is startling sometimes. Thanks so much for commenting
