I Miss You
As a child I lied and stole,
Instead of a heart, there was a hole.
I hurt everyone around me,
And I couldn't see.
I was pushing everyone away,
And I regret that to this day.
Because now you're gone and I miss you so,
I just wanted you to know.
You've helped me become who I am today.
Without you, I would not be this way.
Your caring nature and gentle touch,
Oh how I miss that so very much!
I wish you were here so that I could tell you
How much I love and miss you.
But you're gone and all I can say
Is that I wish you could see me today.
