I Miss Life
I miss the morning dews of the greener grass
The whispering wind in the morning of a summer’s day
I miss the startling rays of the sun
The sun so bright that it imposes a smile on my face
I miss the morning breeze I used to feel
When I woke up, and my blood would move in a hurried haste
I miss it when I had to do what I love doing, what I am good at
The challenges that left me tired
My imagination roaring with endless thoughts
I miss those times when I....
Oh, I miss life!
I miss the sunsets and the moonlights
The rise of the dawn and morning breeze
I miss the times when time used to move along with me
I felt I was going somewhere
I miss it when I used to have dreams
And believed that not an armed crook would succeed
At sneaking into my head and put my thoughts at gunpoint
And suggest that I stop whatever it is I’m trying to achieve
Or he’ll have to shoot my babies in my head, before they could be born
Oh, I loved my babies...I love my babies...
I just miss life
