I Loved You, You Loved Me Not
To dance the night away
To laugh and sing and sway
My love is high way up there
The gods did hear my little prayer
To dance the night with you
I knew my love was true
You promised there will be no strife
That promise you said will be for life
To twist and turn in loving dance
To know you as one, a loving chance
You held me in your arms so tight
You loved me throughout the dark of night
A night spent in my lovers arms
You loved and wondered at my charms
A bed full off rose petals red
You told me I was the one - you said
I will teach you to love aright
I come to kiss and say goodnight
I love you little one don’t look so sad
I promise no hurt I am your dad.
The years did pass and day did dawn
I see you used me as a pawn
My love meant so little to you
So with this blade I run you through.
