I Love You Too
The rain falls gently making a soft melody.
The flowers smile as they look up at the sky with glee.
The birds take shelter in the old oak tree.
This is a memory of you and me.
You asked will you marry me.
You asked with a please.
You and me became a we.
Our marriage made me so happy.
This is a memory of you and me.
You went off to war.
You couldn't hold me in yours arms anymore.
I received a letter from the navy shores.
My heart hurt like never before.
You were the man I adored.
Your last words were, "Our love is true."
I didn't know what to do....
All I could say was,"I love you too."
