I Long For Yesterday
Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay.
I can't find light to brighten up my days,
I guess I'll just fall astray.
Suddenly I'm not all the man I used to be,
There's an evil shadow inside of me.
I can't seem to set all the problems free,
I guess my only option is turn back and flee.
Although I sit here and have this guilt,
I'm burning down the good I ever built.
The good times were an easy game to play,
I'm searching for a place to hide away.
I don't know why I have to run.
I still can not say,
I've done everything wrong,
Now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here stay.
Suddenly I'm not all the man I used to be,
There's an evil shadow inside of me.
The good times were an easy game to play,
I'm searching for a place to hide away.
I don't know why I have to run.
I still can not say,
I've done everything wrong,
Now I long for yesterday.
