I Had Been Away
I missed the chapel down the hall
For I had been away
I longed to see the cross upon the wall
As to where I would kneel to pray.
It is good to be here at last
Where I am amongst my own
I am known on sight to all
For now at last I am truly home.
Before I take my exit
I ask for the Holy Spirit to come
And stay with me throughout this life
Until my work is done.
