I Got Arrhythmia

I got arrhythmia With no biz here Still got my heart Who could ask for anything more! This old heart beat Got new smart beat Slow then fast beat Who could ask for anything more! My Oxidation Has a syncopation No resuscitation Hangin’ round my door With a thrum beat Not a dumb beat Long as some beat Who could ask for anything more! Who could ask for anything more!

Your positive attitude and sense of humor can only help. As I read this I could hear the song and see the performance in my mind. Many blessings to you :)

Thank God for a sense of humor! A friend of mine has that as well, Geoff, and we all know it's no laughing matter. Heart disease has killed of every male in my family going back at least 3 generations--I've got the more prosaic aortic aneurysm but if that pops, at least I go out with a bang!

Thanks for the response, Len. Let not your heart (and mine) be troubled!

Very clever Geoffrey. Your poem has so much heart and great beat. I have to ask though..is the word 'beat' missing inadvertently in the line "Not a dumb.."..or did you just miss a 'beat' on purpose ? :) Love your stuff Cheers - Gary :)

Thank you for the kind observation, Gary. You were right; it was an error (though I see your subtle point, but not sure if others would; so I have amended it)

Geoffrey, Always providing the harmony & timing; great brothers writing the soundtrack of life. 'Long as some beat ~ Who could ask for anything more!' Only busy hearts are well-practiced in multiple cadences. As long as the beat remains measurable you're allowed to enjoy the dance. -Richard

Thank you Richard. Ah! Those dancing years! Now just a little toe tapping. The beat goes on.

This is great! The heart’s holding on…who could ask for anything more (a little bit of sarcasm in every dance step) God bless you, Geoffrey!

wow, how cool to do this with that song beat. Very clever. I think my sister has this thing too. Probably with monitors people can do fine with it. There is much worse to have, believe me.

Thanks Andrea. As you say: could be a lot worse (No sense of rhythm!)

Brilliant as usual! As an old drummer, like yourself, I appreciate most any beat. Hope you are doing well. Joe.
