Inspiration Quote:

"Without the dark, we wouldn't see the stars."

________________________

The leaves crunch beneath my feet as the rain is dripping, A windy road takes me to a place of tears and lamenting; My heart is forlorn this day, as I recollect all my prior happiness, Each name engraved is a treasure lost in the darkness. Every new day, I struggle to keep the past from lingering, O, I recall all the joy devoured in this life, all the sweet living; I realize how fortunate I have been, I think of those lost in loneliness, They are unable to see the beauty of life's exquisiteness. For without the melancholy, the grief and the dreadful crying, There is no delight, no contentment, bliss, no joy and laughing; So, I embrace the winding road that is this journey with utter gladness, Listen, if one seeks the beauty, they will find loveliness. __________________________ October 17, 2013 Poetry/Verse/I Embrace This Winding Road Copyright Protected, ID 10-513-484-17 All Rights Reserved, 2013, Constance La France

There are so many lessons in our lives....sometimes the more difficult roads are the ones that make us appreciate how much we have and how blessed we are. A beautiful poem, Constance! Congratulations!
