I Dream Again of Glass
I dream again of glass
Of a smooth unsullied surface, pleasant to the touch
Strong enough to stand the tests of element and time
yet fragile enough, that sensitivity's demanded
Offering the truest reflections of what's projected
and a lens of clarity that no falsehood may hide behind
One that stays cool to the touch when the sun is low
and yet warms, when life turns to spring and summer
A window through which the road ahead can be watched,
with a clear view, to let the world see what waits behind
I dream again of glass
