I Don'T Want To Die Tonight
Swirling winds, gathering, eerie clouds that box us in,
Family ties, truth and lies, restless runners in our eyes,
Wrinkled skin, suffering, burning matches to the end,
Warning us, ominous, take us closer to the edge.
Let me in, let me in, I don’t want to die tonight
Let me hold you in my arms, until the time is right,
until that burning flame has gone, far from sight.
Hold me tight, hold me tight, I don’t want to die tonight.
Memories, crooked trees, all those possibilities,
hidden signs, for us to find, in those little threads of time.
Black and blue, me and you, all the things that we’ve been through
Falling flat, pulling back, into our fragile little track.
Let me in, let me in, I don’t want to die tonight
Let me hold you in my arms, until the time is right,
until that burning flame has gone, far from sight.
Hold me tight, hold me tight, I don’t want to die tonight.
Let me in, let me in, I don’t want to die tonight
Let me hold you in my arms, until the time is right,
until that burning flame has gone, far from sight.
Hold me tight, hold me tight, I don’t want to die tonight.
