I Don'T Understand America Part 1
Things I don’t
understand
They don’t teach
that friendships and
relationships come
and go..
So really forever is
a sometimes just a
few months
They don’t teach
that sex isn’t just
sex with more than a
few bumps
That making love
doesn’t mean making
babies
That taking
responsibility
doesn’t mean blaming
And that forgiveness
faith and love need
to be expressed
outside of church
Love is the one
thing we shouldn’t
have to search
Not everything can
be solved by a pill
Now everything is
taxed and and soon
you’ll receive your
oxygen bill
Taxes for everything
besides to fund
school supplies
Then wonder why kids
are getting worse
and worse
Kids beating,
bullying, killing,
I’m begingin to
think this country
is cursed
You’re too fat or
you’re too small but
informercials can
fix that
But the things we
really need to be
concerned about
America tells us to
sit back
Why is it we see on
tv to give money to
children we’ll never
see
But are told not to
indulge in the ones
we see on the street
Or the veterans who
fought for this
country
And Are now just
part of “modern day
society”
Well this modern
thing seems a little
bit barbaric
Generation –X more
like Generation
Xtinction
Social media is now
Social suicides
Social Sex scene
We are broken down
into categories and
sub genres of people
Hipsters, Goth,
punk, prep, geek.
Segregating
ourselves based on
clothes and music
Rather than mind and
morals
I don’t understand
The Spreading of
AIDS and STDs
Purposely
This is the America
the beautiful we are
just now able to see
