I Don'T Like Crosses

i don’t like crosses they remind me of jaded men with drooping noses and hollowed eyes that bore into your soul wipe their bloodied hands on their pure white shawls and say “jesus will forgive me, at least i have jesus” “you have nothing” i don’t like crosses they remind me of suffocated old men drowned in their love of god and their too tight collars stiff and cruel old men in collars fresh from their graves rigor mortis rigor mortis i don’t like crosses does this make me a bad person? “eat the apple, boy, eat the red flesh and pray, pray” pray for what? pray for me pray for the men, the men in their collars, the crosses pray for them god will not forgive you for not liking crosses “this makes you a bad person” i don’t like crosses

John, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@

They will pay for the suffering they have caused to others, God is just, God is love, they do not represent HIM. He feels your pain, I feel your pain. Well written.See my poem I was just a kid.
