I Donot Like To Forget

I Don’t Like To Forget You…… I don’t like to forget you, But you’ve dropped a curtain ‘twixt us Over the days I painted thee in my heart, Undeniably thy portrait is Mona Lisa, The lady with enigmatic smile, No one can forget Mona Lisa, But to the artless Mona Lisa seems a caricature., Thou art not a caricature, But thou hast made thyself a caricature. I deliberately forget the stork reality of forgetting thee. I’ve made the dictionary sans the word of ‘forgetting thee’ For moments with thee have deleted this painful word. Can you forget me with the curtain dropped betwixt? And don’t you know that my thoughts traverse thro’ barriers And touch thee? I know thou canst not forget me, Thy thoughts of mine dwell on my smile, And my thoughts of yours dwell on thy eyes and smile. So pretend not to drop a curtain, For our love dwells beyond lashing shores.
