I do not blame you What you wanted I couldn't give Whom you wanted I could not be Where you wanted I could not go I do not blame you but know know It is so I do not blame you Be happy, be well Happiness awaits you Happiness with the one Who can be what you want Who can give what you need Who can go where you lead Who can make you whole, complete Happiness, my sweet I do not blame you I wish you well Beautiful soul, Farewell! great expression written here. it sounds like your better off too though which gives a better outlook then the overall sadness conveyed

Interesting that you chose this as your first visit, Nathan. I'm not sure if you've visited before. Perhaps on a poem I joined in your contest. When you can't give someone what they want, what other choice is there than to wish them well and the very best? The fault is yours and not theirs. True care knows when to let go for the good of the other. Thanks for your visit. Sadness is deepest when there is regret. I don't regret doing what is right.

In life, choices must be made with mutual agreement between heart and mind. Same applies to important decisions. Thus haste is never advisable. Very well written poem where reason emerges to the fore. hugs // paul

Yes, Paul...One cannot always follow the heart. There is a still small voice that whispers reason and caution....There is pain in following the heart, for the heart is blind. Thanks for the visit.

My good friend, where love lifts up and then casts down can not be blamed but must be lived! Once casted off that road the path back takes effort and faith. Faith that true love exists and that , yes it lasts! Blame game is lame, love greatly, love the world and boldly shout your name! Super 7 and great write..

What a wonderful post of triumph this is, Robert. Yes. It's true. I feel good. Life teaches us many lessons, some very hard and some full of pleasure. I think I've learned some lessons well. I may be a slow learner when it comes to matters of the heart, but I do learn. :) It's good not to have to live with regret. Hugs

If this were me I would not be able to contain my hurt and be so gracious. I sincerly hope this is a flight of imagination and not something that has happened. Anyone who would abandon such a passionate soul would have to be a fool.
