I Didn'T Give Up On God

I DIDN’T GIVE UP ON GOD I didn’t give up on God, though I was living in sin. I didn’t give up on God, though I thought He was living within. I didn’t give up on God though evil affections were there. I didn’t give up on God; I kept on coming in prayer. I didn’t give up on God, though I gave Him good reasons to. I didn’t give up on God; somehow He saw me through. I didn’t give up on God, though friends that I met were not right. I didn’t give up on God; I cried when I failed in His sight. I didn’t give up on God with some things that I could have done. I didn’t give up on God till one day I sought to be won. I didn’t give up on God those three days I searched valiantly— I didn’t give up on God—AND GOD DIDN’T GIVE UP ON ME! That is the secret, I know—not to give up on that truth I cannot give up on God—the one who I knew from my youth. Though I’m not proud of the days and many things I have done, I didn’t give up on God—now He sees me through His Son! Though I feel unworthy still, and I’m amazed of His grace, I don’t want to give up on God; I want to see Him face to face. Though I still face many times where the temptation sets in, I don’t want to give up on God and go back again to the sin. So as I walk through life’s days, now as I travel earth’s sod, I pray it will be said of me that I didn’t give up on my God!
