I Did It His Way
So often I would fall in then landing flat on my face
Often missing His Call and it's accompanying Grace
In so often turning away and trying it all on my own
The skies soon turn grey destroying such seeds sown
But deep in my heart I could always hear His Word
And in so taking part oh how that heart has stirred
Yet soon one begins to drift headed down that road
Oh how satan loves to sift the ones so easy to goad
But as the years went past I left that old way behind
Those things will never last but make your soul blind
Occasionally I may veer but get right back on track
Let's make one thing clear don't give satan any slack
So I speak to your heart to listen closely for His Call
Maybe you too could start in getting up from this fall
For He just wants to hold you keeping you by His Side
His love for You is so true as for Your own sins He died
