I Could Tell

I Could Tell I could tell from my first interview My dream would be coming true Liked me and my guitar I brang And each joyful song I just sang. Even said how handsome I was Like everyone else always does; Looked up and shiny star I saw; Reminded me of my ma and paw. Dreamed about a good looking girl; Sure loved to spin and then to twirl And when my eyes first met hers Wanted to be sure what else occurs. When the dance had finally ended, Next thing happened that I intended; Found her slipper made out of glass And ended up marrying the lovely lass. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran

For things some people have a proclivity Until they start seeing the severity Of things on others they have inflicted That God forever always will forbid. Should we appear to be so staunch Or some new ideas start to launch; Best thing to do is be behaved When by God you want to be saved.
