I Can'T Sleep Without You In My Arms

I’m feeling pretty pretty bad A young child will be oh so sad They left their precious teddy bear On a comfy airport lounge chair A lovely security guard Tried oh so very hard To reunite that teddy bear That now is in his tender care Guess it will be a fraught flight And tonight a very sleepless night The little one will be delighted When bear and owner are finally reunited Jan Allison 4th August 2014

I guess there were tears when realisation hit - you could see the poor security guard trying his best, but it was too late by the time the bear had been found the plane had left. Hugs Jan xx

Excellent idea Tim - it must be so traumatic for both parent and child when the favourite comforter is lost. Hugs Jan xxx

I'm still coming down to earth from my 1st place in the contest and had such fun with Tim yesterday - I love it when one poem inspires others to write - we did have a laugh together hes a lovely guy. Hugs Jan xx

Sweet... I LOVED my teddy bear when I was a child. Our house caught on fire and I screamed for my teddy bear - my dad went in and got it for me - (it wasn't a bad fire, though ).. Enjoyed the memory and the poem. God bless you... Also, I haven't ever flown!!! Scared to!!!

Oh Regina I can sympathise with your predicament a comfort toy means the world to a young child in fact we purchased another identical toy for my son in case ... hope he doesnt read this he never knew LOL. We have two ways of getting off our little Island a journey by boat I call it 'the vomit comet' or flying so flying is the lesser of two evils only takes a short time to reach the destination. Hugs Jan xxxx
