I Can'T Love You

The only thing I cannot do, Is tell you girl I don’t love you. I held you for so many years, I don’t want to make you cry those tears. But I love another girl right now, I wish I knew the words to tell you how. That I want to hold you in my arms, And keep you safe from any harm. But I know the best thing to do, Is keep you from this man that can’t love you. I’ll think about you night and day, I wish that I could find a way, To see you other than in my dreams, But the other girl I’m with means more than anything. Even though she doesn’t know it now, I want to tell her exactly how, I’ll love her till the end of time, If that girl will be just mine. But her eyes don’t lie they tell the truth, They told me today I can’t love you.
