I Can Fly

I Can Fly By Elton Camp When young, there was a dream of delight Somehow I had become capable of flight Very soon, the flying dream would recur It was the fantasy that I always did prefer Right into the air I would gleefully leap Whether level ground or a place so steep I could roll, twist, turn or soar with ease And remain airborne as long as I please It was almost if the dream were real Wind in my hair I could always feel I no longer have that dream as before Perhaps I can’t remember it anymore Either way, I wish it’d come once more I could take to the skies as I did before
