I Came To You
I came to you one rainy night
You taught me how to live with pain.
Your eyes are dying with thirst
You have sand in tattered old boots.
There is wind, sand and burning blue skies,
Your eyes are the coolest blue.
Blowing a breeze from somewhere,
Your breath came into my mouth,
Like fire burning so hot
Force, to break, snap, blow, make me feel new.
You wrap your arms so tight around my waist,
And keep me warm. I feel like I already knew you.
Above all the surroundings came
love and something I thought would never,
Break me.
