I Came By… (to see you) You don’t see me. I see you, everyday. I am afraid to say hello. You may say good-bye. I just want to ask, if you like dinner, have you eaten? Do you eat? Of course you have… or will.. or might… I believe I will bite my lip, until it bleeds. I wanted to know, what color is your favorite? Do you like your coffee black? If there is cracker jacks in-the-box, do we, should we, fight over the peanuts, and split the prize, or… I have no courage. I am lost, the map… blew out the cab window. The ship sailed, and left the baggage, on the peer. I am craving chocolate… It is my solution… to the mathematical problem of fear? If it only added up!

Really cool poem, Ann. I agree w/Jeff totally. Last four lines blew me away. The depth of your muse elevation is w/o limit. I dig the adolescent awkwardness expressed w/such adult maturity and childlike innocence. Every age generation can relate to this jewel of a poem. Pure ink poetry. Much love and many hugs of happiness. Romantic Warrior

This is sweet. I wonder how many possibilities have been missed as a result of our fear.

Sad. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but we sure claim it a lot for ourselves...thank you friend. Have the very nicest day.

Ann, I love this poem, particularly this, "You don’t see me. I see you, everyday. I am afraid to say hello. You may say good-bye. ..." - Never be afraid, always have the courage to take the risk. If you don't you are caught on the ferris wheel and will never get off. Take the risk. If they don't say hello back, give it two more shots. What is there to lose, except pride, which is in itself a dead weight weighing a person down. Leanne x

Fascinating, Ann! Your poem can be interpreted in so many different ways. felt that you were visiting an unconscious / comatose / non-responsive patient. But that's just my take. Super-write! Warm wishes, Gershon
