I Am the Phoenix
life comes and another goes
that is the law of the wild
an infinite cycle
of which I abide
Carelessly devoted
to the avatar of flame
for the vessel, I reside in
was never theirs' to tame
rising like a phoenix
now I am reborn
flying over waves
that has troubled me before
rising from the ashes
of my troubled mind
as now I fly free
with no intention to decline
my being is that of fire
Intense and yet so pure
and thus I am immortal
and forever I endure
the embodiment of freedom
that's what mortals say
for courage, they are filled with
In skies of dark and gray
