I Am Not Much of a Poet
We were talking,
I was listening,
then I noticed I was missing
half of all important things
that you did say.
I am not much of a poet,
you are right
and I do know it,
I was only thinking of
another line.
I’m absent minded,
I waste my time
trying to to find a perfect rhyme,
Who’s gonna read
that stuff of mine anyhow?
This even ain’t my native tongue,
though I don’t drink
I do feel drunk,
I‘m waiting for another day
to speak my mind “poetic way”
I am not much of a poet,
you are right
and I do know it,
I was only thinking of
another line...
