I Am Not a Color
I am not a color
I am not a color
not black or white or green
when you look at me
there’s more yet to be seen
I am sunshine
I am rain
I’m ideas formed in my brain.
I am thunder
I am gloom
I am life about to bloom
I am freedom
I am hope
on the days when you can’t cope
I am laughter
I am song
I’m the excuse if things go wrong
I am music
I am dance
I’m the reasons to take a chance
I am flora
I am sky
I am always asking, ‘Why?’
I am not a color
That you decide to spray
I am the paintbrush…
creating my own way.
