I Am Me
I Am Me
I am the morning sun that glistens over the mountain tops made
White by freshly fallen snow from the night before,
I am the brightest star that shines through the autumn air as it gives
Way to dawn,
I am the trickling brook that journeys from the melting ice of
Springtime peaks, to the streams and rivers, then eventually to
The sea,
I am the laughing child playing in the afternoon sun,
And I am the dead soldier far from home.
I am the fear and hate that thrives in the mind of man,
And I am the love in ones heart;
I am the music in your ears and the scent of the flowers,
The birds that fly, the fish that swim,
The clouds over your head and the grass beneath your feet.
I am the nights’ darkness and I am the morning light,
I am everything and I am nothing,
But most of all; I am me
