I Am Brian
I Am Brian
Suspiciously searching everywhere believing someone is watching me
Knowing their eyes are stuck on me as I move forward
Refusing to give into their demands of escaping their depressive chains
I am Brian, I am going to succeed, and I will beat these demons within my thoughts
Feet no longer stuck in their cement of torturous ever saddening shoes
No longer scratching at the door but beating down the doors of seclusion
No longer willing to be their puppet in a life of sadness and loneliness
I am escaping these chains of brutality so that I can reach the stars above
Wishing I would stay to bring others into their web of darkness
I flap these wings of angels who have given me the strength to fly
Moving forward, never backwards, my feet break the grasp that’s held me still
I am never going to allow the darkness to encompass who I am again
I shall believe in the truth of happiness, love, warmth, tomorrow
Moving into the life of forever after, my eyes can see victory
I will never be the man drowning in their quick sand of suicidal graves
I am Brian, and I am bathing in the greatest pool of water, life
