I Am a Technological Dinosaur

If I want to spell a word I get my dictionary Others use their I-phone If I want to know the time I look at my watch Others use their I-phone If I want to send a message I get a pen and paper Others use their I-phone If I want to know a recipe I get my cookery book Others use their I-phone If I want to work out a sum I get my calculator Others use their I-phone If I want to know the weather I look out of the window Others use their I-phone If I want to listen to music I turn on my radio Others use their I-phone If I want to take a picture I use my camera Others use their I-phone If I need to look somewhere dark I use my torch Others use their I-phone If your I-phone gets lost then so are you, How do you ever manage without it? BUT if I get lost and need directions – I ask my husband And he gets out HIS I-phone!

Jan, I always use a pen and paper, look through my cookbook, look out the window for the weather, listen to my radio. I don't use my phone for anything, except for talking to someone. Sometimes. Great write. Well done. :O) Keep up with the great work. Keep on penning. Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful and creative talents with us. We all truly appreciate it. A 7 from me my friend. ~HUGS~ *S* Cynthia

Jan, This made me smile! I am old school, but sometimes the real thing is better than its google search Call me old fashion, but i still like to stop and smell the roses rather than seeing a photo of them

I will join you in that Dennis - I find technology takes over now - the kids at school communicate by phone and they are sitting next to eachother!!!! Sadly the art of verbal communication and letter writing seems to a thing of the past and is a dying art:-( Hugs Jan xx

Its such a shame James the kids are glued to them and find it difficult to communicate verbally - they can even sit next to each other and text and phone - crazy world we live in:-( hugs jan xxx

Should always listen to husbands . They never get lost , My mother told me dad would get lost going to the shop but would never admit it , lol Loved the poem . Never had an Iphone but did have a mobile phone until I realised I was always too busy with it to talk to people I met in the street every day .

I once delivered a lost I-phone from the Air France desk at the Philadelphia Airport, to the owner's residence in Shillington, PA. That trip was about 100 kms one way. These days, people are too dependent on their modern conveniences. You have the advantage over them whenever their devices need recharging. Good write.

Thanks Robert - sorry to have taken time to reply this must have slipped past me. If my own phone got lost it wouldn't be a disaster its an ancient nokia for just texts/calls. So many people can't live without their i-phones - sadly the children at school seem to spend more time on them than communicating with others.... and they call it progress! Jan xx
