Excited to see what the long night has spun, I awaken my gift in the summertime sun I will stretch my long neck to peer far across the sea of your lawns, and your carpets of moss. I've been kissed by the teardrops of a night that is gone I rise from the clover, with a promise, beguiled I'm destined to bring some joy for awhile A wish will come true with one wisp of a breath that will blend with the wind, fly up to the crest of a nursery rhyme song that will make children smile I'm a little white star in the hand of a child Born to be cherished, then sown to grow wild

this was adorable, Carrie! One tiny thing. Lose the comma after "I'm" in line 7. Otherwise, it is perfection! Congrats in my contest.
