I Am
I am what I am
all that God has made me
ordained to be holy
because he has put himself in me
and is now shaping me
into what I should be;
Rather, what I could be
because what we could be
is so much more
than what we should be,
for he is so much more
than what we know or see.
The wonder of his way:
He keeps working in us
opening our eyes of understanding
and now, opening mine even more
because of you
because you have come into my life
with all that you are
all that God has made you
bringing a part of yourself to me
and taking back as payment
part of what I am.
