"i Am"

I am young I am old I am soft I am bold I can laugh I can cry I can quit Still.... I can try!? Days they pass Turn to night Then come dreams Lost in flight.... Can't change the world Can't stop the rain But if I could I would end all the pain! For I am one In most that exist.... Throughout the years Throughout the mist? Yet here comes my chance Or so goes my life Caught by the windmill.... Cut by the knife! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I Am" Note: This is dedicated to Christopher Higgins....With an apology!~Wrapped in "Love!"~Change The World Brother!!

I just love this one, John:) It's flows so well and it has a different style from the other poems that you have written here at PS. Few words, but with great impact!'I am young, I am old, I am soft, I am bold'-sounds like a song...and these words hold so much truth behind their soft curtain...Thank you so much for being a friend and for taking the time to read my poems. It means the world to me! I hope life gives you only happiness and love, my gifted friend. Hugs&kisses, Emily

Deep, introspective write, John!! An incredible view! Each little decision we make, conscious or not, each word we speak, I believe goes out into God's universe, shaping, forming, whatever! And because we share His spirit..."I Am" Definitely goes to my favs.! Peace and love, Audrey

Nice writing. Simple words that carry depth. It may not seem that we can change the world, but one never really knows how much our thoughts and what we do, do affect the world. Thanks for sharing this poem and thank you for reviewing mine and for your comments. Caroline.

If we all stand together instead of against maybe one day we can change the world, you certainly do that with your beautiful words. John, always a pleasure to read your gifted pen. Thank you for your encouragement and wonderful compliments yet, again.

Brother John let the love flow from within and let us do our part in making a difference in someone's life..the world is filled with evil and if we can only change it through prayers and words then that is what we should do.. This poem is awesome.. and I respect you and your heart my friend..my heart never holds anger or hate. I adjust and move on to a better place emotionally..we are both in a good place tonight I hope.....bygones are bygones..let respect for fellow man rule...Chris.
