I Adore the Grey
I Adore the Grey
I adore the grey before the dawn,
that wave’s good night, beckons day.
When lovers rest is deeply drawn,
her breathing soft, as flowering May.
No curtain flare, just steel blue grey,
as she floats there in selfish dreams.
Feathered wind chimes have their say,
heralding the butter smooth sunbeams.
Softly waiting as she slumbers deep,
soon the welcome grey must fade.
wondering of the thoughts she keep,
repelling dark with lights man made.
