With a hunger to grow, and with reasons unknown, seduced by the scent, who knows what extent of the science behind the twining of two roses that bloom on the old garden wall? One with a strawberries' hue winds it's limbs on a vine. It has grown to the sky, draping over the stones In the labyrinth of time, on the wall's other side, are warm petals of peach, leafy tendrils that reach, to capture the light. They will gently collide, then will twist to unite with the alien's climb. But, then,, something divine reminds us anew. Somehow we find small miracles do arise from things, old, reborn and renewed. There's a new rose in bloom ~ Two species have joined to blend into one, becoming a jewel with the glorious colors of sun ______________________________________________________ 4/4/16 Contest: New Species Resubmitted for Contest :"Any Poem Written In April 2016" Sponsor: Laura Loo

Hello dear Carrie!! Yay!You finally posted an audio of yours, and you bet I am smiling right now, upon hearing you-happy to hear you! I really like how your voice is so sweet- :) my favorite part here was when you were reciting the 3rd stanza...I really enjoyed your poem and listening to you :) It's fascinating how you were able to depict the creation of a new hybrid, almost like a love story... btw I hope you don't mind me pointing out-- I believe that for L2S2, that should be "its"?

Now young lady this is beautiful ,..it sings and enchants , the meter is almost ..Almost perfect,..only one little flaw and thats 5th stanza 3rd line, it feels like a lifted carpet, i think it needs another syllable ? perhap "come from some things old" ? just needs a syllable

yes, I agree, another syllable would flow much more smoothly! Thanks for the input once again :)
