Hurricane Katrina

Some days were meant To dawn bright and clear So you can see anything, far or near But some days were meant To bring cold and pain Suffering and sadness Wind and rain Such was the day the hurricane struck And gloomy and angry and running amok It all rushed upon the oblivious shore So delicate and fragile that it soon tore People all rushed in a terrorized state All trying to avoid their dismal fate Many lived but many did not SImply my being in the wrong or right spot Destroying homes cities and towns The storm took lives yet to be found And though I was not there that terrible day I'm glad I'm alive and that I can say I may have sadness I may have strife But it's all a part of my wonderful life
