Hunger

Hunger I am hungry. But not for food. I hunger for flesh I hunger for knowledge I hunger for light and darkness I hunger with pains in the pit of my soul That knows only lacking That knows not sufficiency It knows not contentment. I do not hunger for paltry things Do not feed me your facade Do not feed me your ideals But feed me the filthy raw of life. Teeming with highs and lows, Both the maggots of rotten dreams And the fruits of Utopia. I hunger. And I will devour.
