Hummingbird

I've always been fascinated by the hummingbird's ability to be motionless in flight yet wings moving so fast they are barely seen. It has a rare but strange beauty that demands attention. What an ornithological gift! Hummingbird with needle-like beak, Wings buzzing like the bumblebee, Darting at will in minute time, Ornithological odd prime. Nectar sweet its favorite meal, Beauty uncommon and surreal, Defies normal mobility, With innate capability. Eye mesmerized by its rare sight, Giving dull orb welcome delight, Inspiring awe from this wee fowl, Always on a sweet flower prowl. Nature owns unique designs, Creatures of unorthodox kinds, On one, renown must be conferred, The small, exotic hummingbird. Source: http://forums.familyfriendpoems.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=156094
