Humble Poet Pie
As I carefully craft and slow ly chisel
Each individual stanza and verb
I'm polishing my adjectives to sizzle
Meant to be melodious, never to disturb
Coaxing as a pied piper from the cacoon
Every bit of alphabet dancing in my head
Looking for a metaphor to represent the moon
All to build a crescendo, meant to be read
So I present to you my anthology
As you turn each page , jump in , engage
Hanging happy thoughts, with no apology
Together we can turn a phrase
Pleased to meet you, wont you guess my name
I am a humble poet and this sonnet is my game
